Flower

a poem

aspiration often comes with malice
for the sake of the manifestation ongoing
where one kills for their babies
and others seek pleasure for trying

your gaze erases any doubts within
dispels any blemishes on it
for the better of it
for the future of it

whilst the truth often lacerate
the dream you dream kept me walking
letting my guard down not realizing
reality isn't as kind as it used to be

aspiration often comes with malice
whether from without
whether from within
but you
are worth
every tear I bleed

- for the flower that blooms

Roses and Lillies by Henri Fantin-Latour (1888)
